Desertification and Groundwater

To build up awareness about the importance of safeguarding ecosystem services and resilience in all ecosystems belongs to the tropical belt of the planet earth
In order to handover the responsibilities of mitigating desertification and groundwater degradation within the tropical belt of the planet to the younger generation, Ministry of environment and wildlife resources initiated the work under the Segiriya declaration and formed a global platform for younger generation to get together and share their experiences and views.
